About

Son of a Teamster and a Teacher, designing work full of humanity.

Born and raised in Bozeman, Montana, Jonas often connects with people who love mountains, trees, and rivers. While exploring these open spaces he discovered an appreciation for the built environment and the comforts we are so privileged to return back to. Pretty soon, legos turned into two by fours and Jonas became the designated family helper. Not too shortly after high school graduation and competing on the national stage as a mogul skier, he decided to leave the comforts of Gallatin Valley and study architecture at the University of Oregon.

The path wasn't easy as anyone who studies architecture is well aware, but Jonas found inspiration through other arts such as cooking and music. He also spent his free time managing the 220-member freestyle ski team. As Vice President of the club sport he assisted strategic event planning, fundraising initiatives, and coordinating travel logistics to Mt. Bachelor. Jonas' work spanned industrial, commercial, residential and institutional design, each program attracted him to the technical nature of structure and enclosure to help develop senses of scale, rhythm, and protection. The detail-driven, sustainable building values reflected the genuine interest of mass timber's responsibility in lowering construction's embodied carbon.
